Today I would like to share with you my top ten Skillshare classes. It was pretty hard to have to limit myself to ten Skillshare classes, but I just wanted the favorites here. There are so many great artists on Skillshare. To make it a little easier for you to choose the right Skillshare class, I've sorted them by métier. You just have to choose what you like to learn and I will have the right Skillshare class for you.
I want to learn to illustrate
I know, I know, it's a bit cheeky to put your class in first place by yourself. But I think it turned out pretty well, it's my first class after all. Here you will learn how to draw cute animals in Procreate. We will use brushes to give it a unique texture. I've put together a lot of free goodies for you to see great results as soon as possible: Cheat Sketch Sheets, Procreate Finger Gestures & Shortcuts and three Color Palettes. At the end of the class, you'll even learn how to create a stuffed animal from your sketched animal.
This great class takes you on a journey to the perfect portrait. It starts with the basics and then gets more and more detailed to great accessories and everything that makes up a person's character. The class delivers what it promises: it's mega fun.
Cat has an impressive range of clients and is also inspiring as a teacher. She is one of the top teachers on Skillshare and always imparts her knowledge in a sound, yet easy manner. The Watercolor class is one that I have enjoyed the most.
I'm head over heels into hand-lettering
What a great class to learn lettering on photos. The possibilities are endless: maybe you want to create a unique gift for this Christmas? Then learn how to do it and use hand lettering in photos. Still looking for great quotes for photos? Feel free to check me out on Pinterest, there are some there.
Lauren Hom is one of my favorite hand lettering artists. Not only does she have a uniquely ironic lettering style, she's also just pretty cool as a teacher. You'll see it when you check out her class. In it, you can learn to draw chalk art that others will marvel at.
Another great hand lettering artist on Skillshare. If you like it a bit more detailed, Mary Kate Mc Devitt is definitely a good one for you. She explains in detail how to get your first (and hopefully not last) handlettering work. This will give you a solid background knowledge to paint more great works.
Pattern Design is my passion
Mel Armstrong really appeals to me with her bright color scheme and always makes me feel cheerful right away. Through this Skillshare class I discovered my passion for pattern design and immediately drew one of my favorite patterns.
Pattern designer Bonnie Christine is at home in a much more muted color world than Mel Armstrong. With her calm, wonderfully serene manner, her tips arrive right where creativity is at home: in your heart.
This class explains well the interplay of individual patterns within a full collection. Elizabeth is wonderfully pragmatic and you can learn how to build your own collection.
Jamie Bartlett makes it easy to learn how to animate. She puts the emphasis on fun, it's not about developing serious animations, it's about keeping it fun. And it's just better to learn while having fun, right?
I hope you enjoyed my list of Skillshare courses. Have you ever taken a Skillshare course? And if so, which one? Feel free to let me know in the comments.
Yours, Marie
