Unique artists, that I love right now

There are some really great artists out there who will inspire you. Here is a list of my favorite artists in four areas of design - pattern design, illustration, font & lettering artists and DIY & interior blogger:

Pattern Design

Bonnie Christine

Bonnie Christine has some really great classes on Skillshare about pattern design. But not only that, her style is so balanced that her patterns always have a calming effect on me. She's been around for quite a while, so she imparts a deep knowledge of pattern design. Check out her website here.

Erin Kendal

Erin Kendal is super active on Spoonflower. She has developed a dropshipping model for her Spoonflower store. In case you don't know what dropshipping is, it's selling products without shipping them yourself, but outsourcing that to someone else and just taking care of uploading designs. Definitely an interesting income opportunity. If you want to know more about it, you can find Erin's website here.

Kater Hees

Kater Hees is a fellow German pattern designer. Her mid-century vintage style totally speaks to me and I love how she uses geometric figures to give animals a unique look. What great patterns! Check out her work here on her site.

Mel Armstrong

Mel Armstrong has happy, colorful pattern designs in her portfolio. Her stuff reminds me a bit of my own work and I love her style. I also developed my own love of pattern design through her by watching this course of hers on Skillshare. Thanks, Mel! Check out her website here.

Illustration Artists

I love the colorful world of illustrations. It's like confetti in everyday life. That's why I love to illustrate myself.” - Marie

Charlie Clements

Charly Clements represents for me drawing people in a modern way & manner. If you are looking for a beginning course on drawing people in Procreate, I highly recommend her Skillshare course. Have a look at her website here.

Cat Coquilette

Cat Coquilette is the master of print on demand for me. She also travels the world as a digital nomad and makes her money through her classes and art. What a dream life! Check out her website here.

Brooke Glaser

I love her style and her colorful, beautiful drawings. She loves all kinds of art - just like I do. Her upbeat nature makes it easy to watch classes with her on Skillshare. Have a look at her website here.

Ohn Mar Win

Ohn Mar Win is a watercolor artist who has great work on They eat and They travel. She writes in her about section that she has filled more than 25 Moleskine sketchbooks with her detailed watercolors. Check out her website here.

Ingela P Arrhenius

She is a children's book illustrator whose work I really love. They remind me of my own work and her Domestika course on illustrating children's books is definitely worth the money too. Check out her Instagram account here.

Font & Lettering Artists

Stefan Kunz

Lauren Hom

She has become famous with her letterings on the theme of Daily Dishonesties. I love her colorful, unusual style. My favorite lettering of hers is Making Art & Breaking Hearts. Have a look at her website here.

Mary Kate Mc Devitt

Mary Kate Mc Devitt combines illustration with lettering. I discovered and learned to love hand lettering through her. Her Skillshare classes are also worth a look, but first check out her website here.

Nicky Laatz

Nicky Laatz is the queen of fonts on Creative Market and has built her own empire here. She has made a whopping $1 million on Creative Market already. Her fonts are wonderful, but most importantly, she is particularly good at illustrating them appropriately within her thumbnails. Don't forget to check out her website here.

Interior & DIY

I love interior design and also worked for a design company as a marketing manager a year ago. I'm always torn between the minimalist style and the colorful. But since I never manage to pull off minimalism, I always end up with colorful design.” - Marie

Oh Joy

Oh Joy is as the name suggests a wonderful little world full of colorful gimmicks. Thereby Joy not only romps around in the area of home decor and design, but also in the area of DIY and more. In her small but nice store she has gathered colorful things to love. Check out the website of her here.

Handmade Charlotte

At Handmade Charlotte you will find the best colorful DIYs. So if you're ever really bored on a rainy day, just surf over to her site and you'll find DIY after DIY to make next.

Aww Sam

Sam takes you on her psychedelic Seventies inspired journey into the interior world. The style runs through her whole life and fits perfectly with her great personality. Another highlight are the costumes she makes every year for Halloween. Have a look at her colorful site.

The House that Lars built

On The House that Lars built you'll find the most wonderful Printables on any theme you can imagine. Planning a party? Be sure to check out The House that Lars built. You will immediately feel like decorating the party with all the great decorations. A wonderland for decoration queens!
